Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Rochester, MI is seeking an experienced store leader to oversee daily operations, coach department managers, and drive outstanding customer service.

You will partner with teams to execute merchandising plans, manage schedules, and maintain safety, sanitation and compliance. You will analyze performance metrics, participate in budgeting, and communicate with associates to boost sales and profit while delivering a best-in-class shopping experience in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing associates to achieve customer service and business goals in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence others to drive store performance.
• Experience using KPIs, metrics, and data insights to identify opportunities and support business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager and associates in creating a favorable customer shopping experience and develop associate interest in customer service/relations to enhance Kroger's best-in-class reputation
• Assist Store Manager in leading teams in planning, implementing and executing merchandising/operating initiatives
• Assist store manager with developing action plans/communications to associates on Associate Insight survey results
• Work with department heads/store associates to identify store opportunities, develop timely solutions and create action plans to ensure plan implementation
• Role model and maintain the highest level of customer service and resolve associate/customer issues
• Manage total store operations in store manager's absence
• Achieve/exceed weekly, period, and annual sales, wage budgets and profit budgets, as well as other targeted goals (e.g., safety, shrink)
