Job summary

PDS Health in Ontario Ranch, CA seeks an Operations Manager Trainee to learn how to independently run a dental office. You will join the OM Development Program under supervision and aim to manage a team within 4–6 months.

This role combines hands-on practice, coaching, and leadership growth across Front and Back Office, with travel to multiple offices and a focus on revenue growth and cost control. Upon completion, the role becomes salaried.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years of related work experience in operational management.
• Operations Manager Trainee must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Travel to multiple offices per day with reliable transportation.
• Alternate transportation acceptable if driving license not available.

Responsibilities

• Model and promote PDS culture and best operational practices.
• Hire, train, supervise, coach, and retain team members.
• Resolve staff and patient issues with timely, creative solutions.
• Execute the PDS Operational Model with consistency with Owner Dentist.
• Drive year over year revenue and profit growth.
• Manage expenses to achieve monthly goals and budgets.
• Show proficiency in cash management and accounting protocols.
• Develop and mentor the Perfect Patient Experience.
• Deliver leadership, coaching and performance evaluations.
• Communicate openly with supervisors and build trust-based relationships.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor per policy.
• Understand HR tools and processes for staff management and compensation.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory bodies.
• Report weekly to Regional Manager with progress and KPIs.
• Develop plans to manage Front and Back Office teams.
