Job summary

PDS Health in Mission Viejo, CA seeks an Operations Manager Trainee to learn and ultimately independently run a dental office within 4–6 months after program completion. You will complete a structured OM Development Program while supported by a supervisor, gaining hands-on leadership experience across front/back office roles.

The role emphasizes driving revenue growth, managing expenses, and developing staff through coaching and mentoring. Travel between offices is required as part of training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years of related work experience in operational management.
• Operations Manager Trainee must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Travel to multiple offices daily with reliable transportation.
• In lieu of a license, alternate transportation to travel to multiple offices.

Responsibilities

• Model company culture and values in daily operations.
• Hire, train, supervise and coach team members.
• Resolve staff and patient issues with timely, effective solutions.
• Execute the PDS Operational Model with consistency.
• Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth.
• Manage expenses to meet monthly goals.
• Show proficiency with cash management and accounting protocols.
• Develop and mentor team for the Perfect Patient Experience.
• Communicate openly with supervisors and build trust-based relationships.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
• Understand People-related tools and processes (assessment, hiring, retention, compensation).
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory bodies.
• Report weekly to Regional Manager on progress and goals.
• Lead a team of Front Office and Back Office staff by end of program.
• Develop an office success plan and protocols for efficient operations.
