Job summary

PDS Health in Long Beach is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee to learn the skills needed to independently run a dental office. You will participate in the OM Development Program, receive coaching from a regional supervisor, and complete structured curriculum and on-the-job training.

The role emphasizes leading Front and Back Office teams, optimizing operations, managing expenses, and delivering the Perfect Patient Experience while advancing toward office leadership within 4–6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years of related work experience in operational management.
• Driver’s license and automobile insurance; travel to multiple offices daily.
• Willingness to travel between offices and coordinate field visits.

Responsibilities

• Model company culture and promote PDS values daily.
• Hire, train, supervise and coach staff for performance.
• Resolve staff and patient issues with timely, effective solutions.
• Execute the operational model with the Owner Dentist.
• Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth.
• Manage expenses to meet monthly budgets.
• Maintain cash management and accounting protocols.
• Lead team development for the Perfect Patient Experience.
• Provide leadership, coaching and performance feedback.
• Maintain professional appearance and communications with supervisors.
• Understand tools for People functions: assessments, hiring, performance, and compensation.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory bodies.
• Report weekly to Regional Manager on accomplishments and goals.
• Develop office success plans and SOPs for coverage during absences.
