GAF Materials Corp. seeks an Asphalt Process Excellence Manager to lead multi-plant process improvements across asphalt yards, driving safety, efficiency, productivity, and cost reductions.

This leadership role collaborates with Corporate Engineering, Operations, Plant personnel, R&D, QA, third-party oxidizers, and Supply Chain to optimize oxidation operations and deploy best practices. The role requires strong leadership, extensive process knowledge, and the ability to mentor cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years supporting process engineering at multiple locations.
• Supervisory or project management lead experience.
• Experience in continuous web machine operation or design.
• Knowledge of the roofing process and ASTM Roofing Codes.
• Advanced communications, analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and cross-plant decisions.

Responsibilities

• Leads the team to define, document, and implement Standards and Best Known Practices.
• Drives cost savings and efficiency improvements across plants.
• Partners with Corporate Engineering, Operations, Plant personnel, R&D, QA, and Supply Chain.
• Participates in safety initiatives and plant visits to identify improvement opportunities.
• Sets priorities using plant metrics and data analytics.
• Mentors technical and process teams to build bench strength.
