Job summary

GAF is seeking an Asphalt Process Excellence Manager to lead their team across both oxidizing and non-oxidizing asphalt yards. This role provides technical process support to improve safety, efficiency, productivity, and costs of internal and external oxidation operations, partnering with Engineering, Operations, R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain.

You will drive standards, deploy best practices, mentor teams, and guide data-driven improvements using SPC, KT, 5-Whys, and other tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years in manufacturing with 5+ years in process engineering across multiple locations.
• Supervisory or project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads teams to define and deploy Standards and Best Known Practices at plants.
• Drives cross-plant collaboration to improve safety, efficiency, and cost.
• Identifies and executes cost-savings and efficiency opportunities.
• Acts as focal point for process and equipment standards and improvements.
• Supports adoption of new technology and participates in safety initiatives.
• Uses structured problem solving and data analysis tools to drive improvements.
• Prioritizes resources using plant metrics and analytics.
• Mentors technical teams and drives change management.
