Meritas Advisory Group, LLC seeks a hands-on Tax Manager focused on ASC 740 provision and coordinating outsourced tax functions across federal, state, and local levels.

You will act as the internal quarterback with external advisors (RSM) and sales tax providers (Avalara), ensuring accurate tax reporting and timely filings. This role offers a strategic, hands-on environment with direct leadership exposure.

Qualifications

• ASC 740 income tax provision experience.
• Experience in federal and state income tax compliance (C-Corp).
• Familiarity with outsourced tax environments (Big 4 / regional firms).
• Knowledge of Avalara or similar sales tax systems.

Responsabilités

• Own the annual ASC 740 income tax provision process including current & deferred calculations, journal entries, and workpapers.
• Serve as primary liaison with external tax advisors; review federal/state returns and manage timelines.
• Oversee outsourced sales/use tax compliance processes and partner with cross-functional teams.
