Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) is seeking an Analyst to perform analysis of bulk samples for asbestos using polarized light microscopy and to validate and review data for accuracy. The role includes scheduling workload, reporting results to clients, and ensuring QA compliance.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a closely related science and 1–2 years of relevant lab experience. A Monday–Friday 1st shift in Fort Lauderdale, FL is offered, with benefits and career development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Geology or a closely related science.
• 1-2 years of laboratory work experience involving mold and/or asbestos microscopy analysis.
• 8 units of Microbiology courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze aerobiological, environmental, and water samples for fungal, asbestos and bacteria analysis.
• Accurately enters and reports analytical data using the LIMS
• Performs independent data reviews for other analysts’ work
• Performs analysis of reference materials, proficiency samples and other quality control samples as needed
• Performs confirmation of lab results as needed by client services personnel
• Performs and completes all analytical testing QA related tasks as needed
• Assists in pursuing, receiving, and maintaining necessary laboratory accreditations
• Maintains and updates all necessary Training and QA documents onsite as necessary
• Co-ordinates and manages projects according to their rush status and due time for timely delivery
• Follows company policies and procedures and ensures that coworkers are doing the same
