Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) is seeking an Analyst to login, prepare and analyze asbestos samples, enter data in LIMS, and perform QC analyses. You will support QA processes and aid in maintaining accreditations while coordinating project timelines within the lab.

Qualifications include a Geology-related degree, 1–3 years lab experience, strong English, color vision, and robust computer skills. This is a full-time, on-site role in the Arvada, CO area with standard lab duties and safety

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology or similar is preferred.
• At least 1-3 years laboratory experience.
• Computer and software proficient.
• Ability to multitask.
• Color vision required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Login, prepare, and analyze environmental samples for asbestos.
• Accurately enters and reports sample descriptions and analytical data using LIMS.
• Performs independent QC analysis for other analysts’ work.
• Performs analysis of reference materials, proficiency samples. And other quality control samples as needed.
• Maintains client service and provides technical support as needed.
• Assists the QA manager in development, implementation and collection of QA processes for the different analytical tests.
• Assists in pursuing, receiving and maintaining necessary laboratory accreditations.
• Co-ordinates projects according to their rush status and due time for timely delivery.
• Trains new asbestos or other analytical testing analysts as needed.
• Maintains all equipment properly and co-ordinates services of all equipment used in the laboratory, as needed.
• Communicates available capacity to Lab Manager.
• Supports departments within the lab when appropriate and as needed.
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Supervisor/Manager.
• Preparation/Analysis of bulk samples by Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) in accordance with SOPs.
• Perform all analyses and quality control measures in accordance with SOPs.
• Perform equipment maintenance and calibration in accordance with SOPs.
