Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing is seeking a PLM Analyst to prepare and analyze environmental samples, including asbestos, using polarized light microscopy. You will validate data, enter results in the LIMS, and assist in QA and accreditation activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years laboratory experience.
• Solid computer skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Must distinguish colors.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.
• Professional working English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples using polarized light microscopy (PLM).
• Enter and report descriptions and data in the LIMS with accuracy.
• Perform independent QC analysis on others’ work.
• Coordinate project workload to meet due dates and hold times.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safe, clean lab conditions.
• Support QA processes and assist in accreditation activities.
• Train new analysts and assist in troubleshooting analytical questions.
• Communicate results to clients verbally and electronically.
• Follow SOPs and company policies at all times.
