Job summary

Eurofins Built Environment Testing East, LLC is seeking a PLM Analyst to perform analysis of asbestos samples using polarized light microscopy and to validate data uploaded into LIMS for client reporting. The role schedules workload to meet due dates and supports QA and accreditation efforts.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related science and 2–3 years of laboratory experience, with strong data handling and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Geology, or closely related science.
• 2-3 years of laboratory work experience involving asbestos or microscopy analysis preferred.
• Environmental methodologies and regulatory requirements are relevant.
• Analytical laboratory techniques and QA requirements are expected.
• Knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze asbestos samples.
• Enter and report analytical data using the LIMS.
• Perform independent data reviews for other analysts’ work.
• Perform analysis of reference materials and QC samples as needed.
• Confirm lab results for client services personnel.
• Support QA tasks and accreditation activities.
• Coordinate and manage projects with rush deadlines for timely delivery.
• Follow company policies and ensure compliance by coworkers.
