Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a 3D scanning technician to perform handheld scans on construction sites, process data in Artec Studio, and deliver clean meshes and CAD-ready files to clients. You will ensure scan completeness on site, manage drift control, and coordinate access and safety with site personnel.

The role requires travel to regional hubs and occasional long-distance work; prior experience with Artec Studio and scan-to-CAD is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating handheld scanners (Artec Leo, Eva, Space Spider) on real projects.
• Familiarity with Artec Studio or comparable scan-processing software.
• Familiarity with CAD and reading structural drawings.
• Comfortable on active construction sites and capable of lifting/carrying equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar and embeds before concrete placement, failed and damaged structures, corroded pipe and tanks, fabricated steel and precast, machine parts, and modular units.
