Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners, capture data on-site, and deliver scan-to-CAD files for clients.

You will run Artec Leo or similar, process data in Artec Studio, create meshes and reports, and travel to regional hubs as assigned. The role requires site work, lifting equipment, and the ability to work outdoors on construction projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating a handheld structured-light or laser scanner on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio or comparable scan-processing software; mesh cleanup and registration.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar, embeds, and structures on site.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, mesh cleanup, texture; export to STL/OBJ/E57 and CAD formats.
• Produce deviation maps, measurement reports, and anchor bolt coordinates against drawings.
