Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Federal Programs Army Project Director to lead Army A‑E projects across the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast region, including potential locations in Arlington, VA, Boston, MA, Providence, RI, and nearby cities.

You will drive the delivery of engineering, architecture, planning, environmental, asset management, and program management services while strengthening client relationships and expanding opportunities within the Army portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, Architecture or related degree.
• 15+ years proposing on, negotiating fees, and delivering AE planning, design, and construction-phase oversight on DoD IDIQ contracts.
• 5+ years managing multi-disciplinary engineering/architectural teams.
• US licensed Architect or Engineer.
• Ability to obtain US Government Secret security clearance.
• Strong knowledge of Army clients (Mid‑Atlantic/Northeast) and DoD contracting.
• Experience leading strategy and marketing for Federal acquisitions; cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent client servicing and program planning/execution.
• Proven track record managing large and complex opportunities and pursuits.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Relocation assistance is not available.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery on a portfolio of AE projects under Army contracts and grow the Army program.
• Coordinate with Army Portfolio Lead and operations to forecast ETC and manage budgets and revenue.
• Review project contracts, risk registers, and quality plans; ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Lead staffing decisions and resource loading for aligned PMs; coach and develop talent.
• Manage client relationships and ensure satisfaction while pursuing new opportunities.
• Drive timely delivery and governance through project reviews and financial metrics.
• Support business development and marketing for Federal acquisitions.
