Job summary

Motorola Solutions, Inc. (via Silvus Technologies) seeks a Director of Business Development for the U.S. Army to lead long-term horizon scanning and multi-year program pursuits.

You will build deep relationships with end-users, OEMs, primes, and PM offices to shape capabilities and win complex DoD opportunities. The role manages the full capture lifecycle, collaborates with the Market Development Executive and Account Sales, and stays ahead of market trends to position Silvus MN‑MIMO technology

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in defense sales or BD focused on U.S. Army.
• Proven track record of capturing complex DoD, long-cycle programs.
• Experience engaging Army Acquisition offices and prime contractors.
• Leads all capture phases: whitepapers, proposals, RFIs.
• Strong understanding of DoD funding and procurement cycles.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.

Responsibilities

• Own capture for large multi-year U.S. Army programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with buying influences.
• Shape requirements for long-term programs with customers.
• Manage lifecycle from horizon scanning to award.
• Collaborate with MDE and Account Sales for transition.
