Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security for courthouses under the USMS contract. Responsibilities include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escorts, parking control, and enforcing federal law within court facilities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least three years as a certified law enforcement officer or military equivalent, English proficiency, and a valid driver’s license with DOJ clearance.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Minimum three years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or military equivalent; all within last seven years.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using security screening equipment and verify IDs.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and surrounding grounds.
• Staff stationary posts including monitoring CCTV, duress alarms and security devices.
• Provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and other designated individuals when directed.
• Direct traffic and manage parking and pedestrian flow on facility properties as required.
• Enforce federal law and safeguard government employees, property, and the public.
• Prepare reports on contract performance, incidents, and security breaches.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect rooms prior to proceedings; test devices.
• Maintain courtroom order and enforce courtroom rules and judicial orders.
