Job summary

Walden Security is recruiting experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract. Responsibilities include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escort duties for judges and staff, traffic control, and enforcing federal law.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of verifiable law enforcement experience, English proficiency, a valid driver's license, and federal training certification.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must have general arrest authority.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record in past five years.
• Must have completed or graduated from certified law enforcement training academy and provide proof.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using security screening equipment and verify IDs.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand at stationary posts including monitoring CCTV and alarm systems.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel when directed.
• Direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties.
• Enforce federal law and detain unauthorized persons as needed.
• Prepare security reports on incidents and contract performance.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices before proceedings.
