Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security for courthouses under the USMS contract. You will enforce entry controls, screen for weapons, conduct roving patrols, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, and escort judges and court personnel as needed.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years as a certified law enforcement officer or military equivalent, valid driver's license, and the ability to read, write and understand English.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or military equivalent within the last seven years.
• General arrest authority documented.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record for past five years.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and security screening to detect weapons and prohibited items.
• Roaming patrols of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand stationary posts including CCTV and alarm systems monitoring.
• Provide armed escort duties for judges and court personnel as directed.
• Direct traffic, control parking and pedestrian movement on court properties.
• Enforce federal law and preserve order within court facilities.
• Prepare reports on incidents, labor hours, accidents, threats, or unlawful acts.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices prior to proceedings.
