Job summary

Walden Security is recruiting experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract. Primary duties include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escorts, and traffic control, ensuring lawful security and safety.

Candidates must meet eligibility, possess a valid license, and pass background checks. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED and prior law enforcement (or military) experience within seven years, plus DOJ

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years as a certified law enforcement officer within last 7 years.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English; apply rules and procedures.
• Must have valid driver's license and safe driving record; DOJ clearance.
• Must be at least 21 years old and pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and enforce entry/ID system; operate screening equipment.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and grounds.
• Monitor stationary posts including CCTV and alarms; secure courtrooms and judge chambers.
• Provide armed escort duties for judges and court personnel as directed.
• Direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties when applicable.
• Enforce federal law and detain unauthorized individuals on Government property or in court.
• Prepare reports on incidents, hours worked, accidents, or threats.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices before proceedings.
• Maintain order in the courtroom and comply with court rules.
