Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security for courthouses under the USMS contract. Duties include entrance control, roving patrols, and protecting court personnel and proceedings.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of verifiable law enforcement or military experience, valid driver's license, DOJ clearance, and completion of certified law enforcement training. Must be 21+ with background checks and medical standards.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record for past five years.
• Must have clearance from the Department of Justice.
• Must have completed or graduated from certified law enforcement training academy and provide proof.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and operate screening equipment to detect weapons and contraband.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand at stationary posts, monitor CCTV and security systems, courtrooms and chambers.
• Provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and others as directed.
• Direct traffic and manage parking and pedestrian flow at court facilities.
• Enforce federal law and detain unauthorized individuals as needed.
• Prepare reports on labor hours, incidents, and security issues.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect premises before proceedings.
• Maintain courtroom order and enforce applicable rules and judicial orders.
