Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract. Duties include entrance control, roving patrols, fixed posts, escorts, traffic control, and enforcing federal law to protect personnel and the public.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years as a certified officer with arrest authority, a valid driver’s license, and clearance from the DOJ.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English fluently.
• At least three (3) years as a certified law enforcement officer or equivalent.
• Must have general arrest authority.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and DOJ clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and screening.
• Carry out roving patrols of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand stationary posts and monitor security systems.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel.
• Direct traffic and control facility access where applicable.
• Enforce federal law and protect court personnel and premises.
• Prepare incident and contract-performance reports.
