Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security to courthouses under the USMS contract. Officers will enforce federal law, screen entrants, and escort court personnel in accordance with post orders.

Responsibilities include patrolling facilities, guarding courtrooms, managing traffic, and preparing detailed incident and labor reports. A valid officer certification, English proficiency, and DOJ clearance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least three calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or military equivalent with general arrest authority within last seven years.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English; valid driver's license with clean five-year record; DOJ clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using security screening equipment and verify items.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and grounds as per post orders.
• Stand at stationary posts, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, guard courtrooms and chambers.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel when directed.
• Direct traffic and control lights at court facilities when applicable.
• Enforce federal law; detain unauthorized entrants and ensure safety of personnel and property.
• Prepare reports on labor hours, incidents, fire or threats within the court facility.
• Secure unattended courtrooms, inspect rooms before proceedings, test security devices.
• Preserve order and enforce court rules and judicial orders in the courtroom.
