Job summary

Walden Security is recruiting experienced Court Security Officers (CSOs) to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract. Duties include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escorts, and court security.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years certified law enforcement experience, valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a drug screen and background check, at age 21+.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using screening equipment to detect weapons and contraband.
• Roaming patrol of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand at stationary posts, monitor CCTV and alarms in court areas.
• Provide armed escort for judges, court personnel and jurors when directed.
• Direct traffic and control parking on court facility properties.
• Enforce federal law and uphold safety of people and property.
• Prepare reports on labor hours, incidents and risks.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect for readiness before proceedings.
• Preserve order within courtroom and enforce rules and judicial orders.
