Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security for courthouses under a USMS contract. The role includes entry control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escorted duties, and courtroom security to preserve order and safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of verifiable law enforcement or military experience with arrest authority, valid driver's license, and ability to pass a DOJ clearance, background check, and drug

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least three years as a certified law enforcement officer or military equivalent with general arrest authority.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English; can interpret and apply rules and procedures.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record; clearance from the DOJ.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using screening equipment to detect weapons or contraband.
• Roaming patrols of court facilities and grounds per post orders.
• Stand stationary posts including monitoring CCTV and security systems.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel as needed.
• Direct traffic and control lights at court facilities where applicable.
• Enforce federal law and protect government personnel and property.
• Prepare reports on incidents, hours worked, and contract performance.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices before proceedings.
• Maintain courtroom order and enforce court rules.
