Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract. Responsibilities include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escorts for court personnel, traffic and access management, and enforcing federal law within court facilities.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED plus three years of verifiable law enforcement or military experience, English proficiency, a valid driver’s license, and DOJ

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with verifiable law enforcement or military experience.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English clearly.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record for the past five years.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and operate screening equipment to detect weapons and contraband.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and grounds per post orders.
• Stand guard at posts, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, and protect courtrooms.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel when directed.
• Direct traffic and manage parking and pedestrian flow on facility premises.
• Detain individuals impeded by unauthorized access and enforce federal law.
• Prepare reports on incidents, labor hours, accidents, and security issues.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect rooms before proceedings.
