Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract. Responsibilities include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escort duties, and enforcing federal law to protect court personnel and the public.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of verifiable law enforcement or equivalent experience, valid driver’s license, DOJ clearance, and completion of certified training academies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years verifiable law enforcement or military experience.
• English reading, writing, speaking proficiency required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and DOJ clearance; completion of a certified law enforcement training academy.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control by enforcing the district's ID system and screening for weapons or contraband.
• Conduct roving patrols of court facilities and grounds per post orders.
• Stand at stationary posts, monitor CCTV, alarms, and courtrooms.
• Provide armed escort services for judges, staff, jurors, or other designated individuals.
• Direct traffic and manage garage and pedestrian flow on facility properties.
• Enforce federal law and deter unauthorized access or threats to people and property.
• Prepare reports on labor hours, incidents, bomb threats, or other security issues.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices; ensure courtroom safety.
• Maintain order and enforce court rules within the courtroom environment.
