Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers/Special Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract in Washington DC. Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must have completed or graduated from certified Federal/state/local or military law enforcement training academy.
• Must be at least 21 years old and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Three years of verifiable law enforcement experience within the last seven years.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using security screening equipment and monitor access.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and grounds according to post orders.
• Stand stationary posts including monitoring CCTV and alarm systems.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel when directed.
• Direct traffic and manage parking and pedestrian flow on court property.
• Enforce federal law and court rules, detaining unauthorized individuals when needed.
• Prepare reports on incidents, accidents, and contract performance.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices prior to proceedings.
