Job summary

Walden Security is currently recruiting experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security for courthouses under the USMS contract. The role involves enforcing federal law, guarding courtrooms, and escorting judges and staff as needed.

Responsibilities include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, traffic control on facility grounds, and detailed reporting of incidents. Candidates must meet education and licensing requirements and pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least three years of verifiable law enforcement or military security experience within the last seven years.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and enforce identification systems.
• Conduct roving patrols of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand at stationary posts monitoring security devices and court areas.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and staff as needed.
• Direct garage traffic and control pedestrian movement on facility premises.
• Enforce federal law and protect court personnel and the public.
• Prepare incident and contract-performance reports.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect rooms prior to proceedings.
• Maintain order and enforce court rules within the courtroom.
