Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security for courthouses under the USMS contract. Responsibilities include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escorted protection, and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least three years of verifiable law enforcement experience or military equivalent within the last seven years.
• Must possess English reading, writing, speaking ability and understand procedures.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past five years and DOJ clearance.
• Must complete or graduate from certified law enforcement training and provide proof.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and screen for weapons and contraband.
• Rove court facilities and patrol grounds per post orders.
• Stand stationary posts including courtrooms and judge chambers.
• Provide armed escort duties for judges and court personnel when directed.
• Direct traffic and manage parking areas around court facilities.
• Enforce federal law and preserve safety of people and property.
• Prepare reports on incidents, labor hours, accidents, threats, or unusual events.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices prior to proceedings.
