Job summary

Walden Security is recruiting CSOs to provide armed security for courthouses under the USMS contract. Responsibilities include entrance control, patrolling, post guarding, escort duties, traffic control, and enforcing federal law to protect personnel and property within court facilities.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English
• HS diploma or GED and 3+ years verifiable law enforcement or military security experience within last 7 years with arrest authority
• Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record for past 5 years; DOJ clearance; completion of certified training academy

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and operate security screening equipment to detect weapons and prohibited items.
• Perform roving patrols of court facilities and grounds.
• Guard stationary posts including courtrooms, judge chambers, and jury rooms; monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
• Provide armed escort duties for judges, court personnel, jurors, and others as directed.
• Direct traffic and manage parking/pedestrian flow on court facility properties as required.
• Enforce federal law and maintain order; detain unauthorized entrants when necessary.
• Prepare reports on contract performance, incidents, accidents, or security events.
• Secure unattended courtrooms, inspect facilities prior to proceedings, test security devices.
• Preserve order in courtrooms and protect proceedings per federal/local rules.
