Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and support daily operations, including opening/closing, supervising Associates, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment.

You will ensure proper merchandising, adherence to company policies, and a safe, secure environment while upholding loss prevention standards and providing excellent customer service. This role reports to Store Leadership.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open or close the store as assigned and supervise Associates.
• Maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Maintain a safe and secure store environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service to shoppers and colleagues.
• Lead Front End operations and train Associates on cash handling and procedures.
• Oversee stockroom organization, receiving, and back-room cleanliness.
• Coordinate back-stock, floor moves, and loss prevention practices.
