Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist in general operations as Manager on Duty.

This role includes opening/closing the store, supervising associates, and maintaining a safe, friendly shopping environment. Responsibilities include enforcing merchandising standards, ensuring clean facilities, and executing company best practices across front-end, stockrooms, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment and follow loss prevention practices.
• Lead and supervise Associates, open/close the store, and ensure smooth front-end operations.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, clean work areas, and proper stock handling.
• Train and coach staff on cash registers, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure execution of merchandising standards and back-room organization.
