Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee daily operations as the Manager on Duty.

You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, maintain attractive merchandise presentation, and ensure a safe shopping environment. Responsibilities include enforcing loss prevention policies, training staff on cash handling and customer service, coordinating front-end activities, and supporting receiving, stockroom, and signage updates to meet company

Qualifications

Excellent verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English.
Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Open and close the store and supervise Associates when Manager on Duty.
Maintain friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
Enforce Company policies in loss prevention, safety and front-end operations.
Train and coach Associates on cash handling, signage and customer service.
Assist with merchandising, back-stock, receiving and stockroom organization.
Ensure compliance with monthly presentation guidelines and floor moves.
