Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and manage daily operations when on duty. You will supervise Associates, ensure a clean, merchandised, and safe shopping environment, and uphold the company’s customer-service standards.

The role emphasizes front-end supervision, merchandise flow, stockroom organization, and adherence to loss prevention practices, with an emphasis on teamwork and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the store and supervise associates when on duty.
• Maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Monitor safety and security across the sales floor and stockrooms.
• Lead frontline operations including cash handling and checkout efficiency.
• Oversee stockroom and merchandising recovery to company standards.
