Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a designated store area and support daily operations as the Manager on Duty when needed.

You will supervise Associates, ensure safe, clean, and organized selling spaces, and uphold company standards for merchandising and customer service. The role emphasizes safety, loss prevention, and efficient floor management, with responsibilities spanning front-end activities, receiving, stockroom upkeep, and daily administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates.
• Maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Enforce store processes, safety, and loss prevention practices.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Oversee daily chores like stocking, signing, and back-stock organization.
