Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and oversee daily operations as the Manager on Duty when required. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment with proper merchandising.

You will also uphold safety, loss prevention, and front-end procedures while maintaining stockrooms and back-stock areas to company standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Fluency in English required for daily interactions.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred in retail environments.
• Familiarity with POS equipment and checkout processes.
• Ability to perform basic math for transactions and reporting.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as assigned by leadership.
• Supervise Associates and maintain a friendly shopping environment.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed.
• Maintain safety and security of the store and customers.
• Assist with front end operations and loss prevention.
