Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to support Store Leadership in managing a defined area and overall store operations. The role includes opening/closing the store, supervising Associates, and ensuring a friendly, well-presented shopping environment.

The candidate will help maintain store safety, merchandise presentation, and adherence to company processes while supervising daily front-end and stockroom activities.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment; report unsafe conditions.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Oversee front-end operations and cashier procedures to meet service standards.
• Manage stockrooms and assist with merchandising, restocking and signage as needed.
• Support Store Leadership in executing company processes and loss prevention.
