Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor in the College Park, MD area to lead a store’s assigned area and oversee daily operations as the Manager on Duty. You will supervise Associates, ensure proper merchandising, and maintain a safe, inviting shopping environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, enforcing safety, training cashiers, and managing back-end operations and payroll-related tasks as needed.

Formación

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains safety and security on the sales floor and reports unsafe conditions.
• Supervises Associates, opens/closes store, ensures proper merchandising.
• Trains and coaches on cash registers and store procedures.
• Manages front-end operations to reduce wait times.
• Responsible for payroll administration and scheduling.
