Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and assist with general operations when acting as Manager on Duty.

You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment with strong merchandise presentation. Responsibilities include supervising safety, loss prevention, and front-end procedures, while training staff on cash registers and POS.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store operations in assigned area and front-end functions.
• Open/close store and manage associates as Manager on Duty.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Uphold safety, loss prevention and company policies.
• Train and coach associates on cash handling and POS usage.
