Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a designated store area and general operations as the Manager on Duty. You will supervise associates, ensure safe, clean, and inviting shopping environments, and uphold merchandising standards across the store.

Key duties include opening/closing, staff coaching, cash handling, and adherence to loss prevention practices. The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends and prior supervisory retail experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Fluency in English required.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS equipment and applications helpful.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for transactions.
• Evenings and weekends availability required.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and customer-friendly shopping environment.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and back-of-house organization meet company standards.
• Lead front-end operations, including cashier training and loss prevention.
• Assist with payroll administration and store administrative duties.
