Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and oversee daily operations. You will supervise Associates, ensure clean and well-merchandised spaces, and support the Manager on Duty in opening and closing duties.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, supervising front-end processes, and enforcing company standards for loss prevention and customer service. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates as the Manager on Duty.
• Maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Execute and supervise store operational processes as needed.
• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment and address unsafe conditions.
• Lead front-end operations to ensure smooth customer flow and checkout processes.
• Train and coach associates on cash handling and loss prevention procedures.
• Manage payroll-related tasks and daily store administration.
