Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and supervise operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a welcoming shopping environment with quality presentation.

You will enforce safety, merchandising standards, and loss prevention while ensuring front-end efficiency and customer care. Prior supervisory and customer service experience are valued, with ability to work after-hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Store; supervise Associates; ensure a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Maintain proper merchandise presentation and a clean work area at all times.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Lead Loss Prevention initiatives and safety procedures.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and Front End procedures.
