Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and oversee daily operations as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, ensure friendly shopping environments and effective merchandising.

You will maintain safety, train front-end staff on cash registers, manage loss prevention practices, and support the store in delivering excellent customer service while upholding company standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and secure shopping environments for customers.
• Supervise Associates and manage store operations as Manager on Duty.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and store cleanliness.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and POS procedures.
• Manage front-end staffing, signing, and customer flow.
