Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a store area and assist the Manager on Duty with daily operations. You will open/close, supervise associates, maintain merchandising standards, and ensure a safe, friendly shopping environment.

Responsibilities include enforcing company processes, training staff on front-end procedures, managing cash controls, stock handling, loss prevention, and ensuring timely front-end service while delivering a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the store as the Area Supervisor or when on duty.
• Supervise associates and maintain a friendly, easy‑to‑shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Enforce loss prevention measures and safety protocols.
• Train and coach associates on cash registers and front‑end procedures.
• Manage stockroom organization, back‑stock, and floor moves.
• Assist in administrative duties and payroll as assigned.
