Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific area of the store and supervise operations in the Store Manager's absence. You will open/close the store, oversee Associates, and ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment with strong merchandise presentation.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and adherence to company policies. Prior supervisory experience and strong English communication are essential, with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe, secure shopping environment and enforces safety policies.
• Supervises Associates and coordinates front-end operations.
• Trains and coaches staff on cash registers and loss prevention procedures.
• Ensures merchandise is presented and stocked according to company standards.
• Oversees store cleanliness, stockrooms, and back stock management.
• Manages payroll and scheduling under Store Manager direction.
