Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and supervise daily operations as part of Store Leadership. You will open/close the store, oversee Associates, and maintain a clean, friendly shopping environment while enforcing company processes.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, merchandising, and front-end supervision, with required English fluency and prior supervisory experience. Evening/weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and secure environment on the sales floor.
• Supervises Associates and manages store operations as Manager on Duty.
• Ensures merchandise is presented to company standards and stockrooms are organized.
• Trains and coaches Associates on cash handling and loss-prevention policies.
• Manages break schedules, front-end operations and customer flow.
