Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. seeks an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and assist the Store Manager with daily operations, merchandising and customer service.

You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, maintain a clean, organized sales floor and ensure compliant execution of company policies and loss prevention practices. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to train and coach staff across shifts.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and active listening.
• Fluency in English required.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS equipment and applications.
• Basic math calculations in retail contexts.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as assigned.
• Supervise associates and maintain a safe, clean shopping environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and stockroom organization.
