Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and supervise operations when on duty. You will open/close the store, oversee Associates, and ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment with proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.

Responsibility includes enforcing store processes, maintaining safety, coaching cashiers, and driving front-end efficiency while supporting loss prevention and back-room management.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and clean work area.
• Enforce store operational processes as needed.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment and monitor safety on the sales floor.
• Train and coach associates on cash registers and loss prevention.
• Manage front-end operations to minimize customer wait times.
