Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific area of the Store and assist with general operations while acting as Manager on Duty. This role includes opening/closing, supervising Associates, ensuring presentation and cleanliness, and executing company processes.

You will be responsible for maintaining safety, supervising front-end activities, and supporting loss prevention and merchandising efforts across the assigned area.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure store environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Lead and supervise associates during shifts; open/close store as needed.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Execute company operational processes and loss prevention measures.
• Train associates on front-end procedures and cash handling.
• Coordinate floor moves, stock processing, and backroom organization.
• Ensure timely restocking and accurate signing and ticketing.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain customer safety.
