Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and support overall operations. You will supervise Associates, ensure proper merchandise presentation, and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment.

You will lead efforts on front end operations, cash handling, and adherence to company policies while coaching team members to deliver excellent customer service. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Store as assigned and supervise Associates.
• Maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment with proper merchandise presentation.
• Ensure safety and security procedures are followed and reported.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Manage stockrooms and back stock to company standards.
• Assist with loss prevention and daily front-end operations.
